Riding on Heinrich Klaasen, Temba Bavuma and Matthew Breetzke half-centuries, South Africa posted a formidable 352/5 in 50 overs against a mediocre Pakistan bowling attack. Klaasen slammed 87 runs off 56 balls to give the Proteas innings a much-needed boost. Meanwhile, South Africa skipper Bavuma missed out on his century and got run out for 82 but set the foundation for a big total for his side. Young Breetzke also continued his fine form from the last match and scored 83.
Earlier, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan at National Stadium, Karachi. The visitors made four changes to their XI as Heinrich Klaasen and Keshav Maharaj included in the XI. Meanwhile, Pakistan announced their XI yesterday, but Haris Rauf and Kamran Ghulam missed out.
