Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav has returned to form in the ongoing game against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The game between the two teams is taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Suryakumar Yadav, who batted at number four, oozed his class with the bat and showed signs of his old self. The right-hander has been at his unorthodox best as he slammed Gujarat Titans bowlers all over the park with his ability to go in unique positions.
Even though Mumbai Indians have lost wickets at the other end, Suryakumar Yadav has held his nerves and is keeping his team in the hunt. The India T20I skipper has timed the ball to perfection and has entertained the crowd with his boundary-hitting.
Suryakumar Yadav was also at the receiving end of a brutal blow to his head during his innings. The Mumbai Indians batter coped a nasty blow against Prasidh Krishna in the 14th over of the chase.
Prasidh Krishna bowled a short slower ball to which Suryakumar Yadav tried to scoop and got a top edge onto the peak of the helmet. As he was hit on the helmet, he lied on the ground and, it sent a sense of scare among the Mumbai Indians fans and management.
Mohammed Siraj and Hardik Pandya rushed to Suryakumar Yadav to check if he was ok before the physios walked out too. The batter moved across and tried to fetch the shot and ended up edging it onto his own helmet. Thankfully it was an off-pace delivery and, the grill of the helmet saved his eye. His wife looked extremely anxious as she was watching from the stands.
