England cricketers Adil Rashid and Phil Salt were shocked after Indian batter Virat Kohli survived a close LBW call during the third and final ODI match. However, Liam Livingstone, who is set to play with Virat for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025, was seen having a banter with the Indian batter.
England skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to bowl first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, February 12. The visiting team removed Rohit Sharma, who scored a century in the previous game, for just one run. Fast bowler Mark Wood provided the breakthrough for his team.

After Rohit’s dismissal in the second over, Virat Kohli joined Shubman Gill at the crease. They handled the early pressure from Saqib Mahmood and Mark Wood and built a steady partnership during the powerplay. The duo struck boundaries regularly while rotating the strike to lay a solid foundation.
On the second ball of the 15th over, Adil Rashid bowled a full delivery to Kohli, who was struck on the pads while attempting to block. England reviewed for an LBW decision after a discussion between Jos Buttler, Rashid, and Phil Salt.
UltraEdge showed no contact with the bat, and ball-tracking revealed that the ball had pitched outside the leg stump. England lost their first review of the game. Kohli would have been dismissed had the ball pitched just a few centimeters inside the line. Salt and Rashid were left shocked after seeing the replay. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli shoulder-bumped his RCB teammate Liam Livingstone as the duo were engaged in a fun banter.
